Ingredients required for making keto tortilla chips:

  • 200g or 2 cups of shredded mozzarella
  • 75g or ¾ cup of ground almond flour, you can also use almonds
  • 2 spoons of psyllium husk or 2 small spoons of psyllium husk powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • ¼ small spoon of garlic powder or onion powder or paprika

Instructions to be followed for making keto tortilla chips at home:

  1. Start to preheat the oven to 180c or 356F degrees
  2. Now, melt the mozzarella cheese in the microwave for 2 mins or you can even do this using a non-stick pot. Just put the cheese in it and heat it for a while.
  3. Then, add the almond flour/ ground almonds, psyllium husk, and salt with some spices. Stir everything properly until everything is combined and then knead until it becomes a smooth dough.
  4. Now, separate the dough into 2 balls and then roll out between 2 sheets of baking paper/ parchment paper. Then, roll out as thinly as possible. The more thin the dough will be, the crispier the tortilla chips will get when you take it out.
  5. Then, cut the dough into triangular pieces or any other shape which you want using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter for better accuracy. After that spread it out on the sheet of baking paper and make sure that the tortillas do not touch each other.
  6. Start baking the tortillas for 6-8 mins or until they get browned on the edges. The baking of the tortillas depends upon their thickness. You can bake it twice or even thrice to make it extra crispy, just make sure it does not get burned.
  7. Remove it from the oven and keep it on the wire rack to get a little cool. Then the tasty tortillas will be ready to be served with a nice and tasty dipping.
