Ingredients of chili recipe

  • Turkey or ground beef- 2 pounds
  • Green peppers – 2
  • Yellow onion -1
  • Diced tomato – 2 cans
  • Tomato sauce – 15 ounce
  • Tomato paste – 6 ounce
  • Water – 15 ounces
  • kidney beans- 2 cans  (Drained and rinsed)
  • Chili powder – 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder – 2 tablespoons
  • Onion powder – 2 tablespoons
  • Cumin – 3 tablespoons
  • Paprika – 1 tablespoon
  • Chipotle powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper – ½ teaspoon
  • Salt – ½ tablespoon
  • White pepper – 1 teaspoon
  • Baking soda – ½ teaspoon


  • Take a big pan or Dutch oven and add onion and diced peppers. Sauté it until it turns translucent and start caramelizing.
  • Now except baking soda add all seasonings and cook for around 2 minutes. Keep on stirring it and remember it should not burn.
  • Now add ground meat and cook it till it turns brown.
  • Now add remaining ingredients.
  • Add 2 cans of dice tomatoes, 15 ounce tomato sauce, 6 ounce tomato paste and water.
  • Now in low flame cook it for around 15 minutes.
  • Now drain beans and add to the pan.
  • Add baking soda and stir it.
  • You will see bubbles in it. Keep on stirring. When bubbles are gone switch off the flame and now serve it to family and friends.


While making this dish don’t forget that that you have to stir it regularly, otherwise it can burn and whole dish will be ruined. If you are in hurry but want to make this dish then you can use pre cooked ground beef.
