This dish is very easy to make and perfect for dinner. You just have to gather all ingredients mentioned in the recipe and make this tasty dish. You can mix all ingredients and freeze it. At the time of baking, thaw it overnight in the fridge and then follow the instructions and your dish will be ready.

Use minute rice for this dish as these are cooked faster and other sorts of rice will not turn out that tender. If you are fond of veggies then you can add frozen or fresh veggies of your choice while gathering all ingredients and mixing it.

  • Cooked and diced chicken – 3 cups
  • Dry onion soup mix – 1 pack
  • Mushroom soup – 1 can
  • Chicken soup Cream – 1 can
  • Milk – 2¼ cups
  • Sour cream – ¾ cup
  • Water – ½ cup
  • Minute rice uncooked – 2 cups
  • Salt – ¼ teaspoon
  • Pepper – ½ teaspoon

Ingredients for garnishing

  • Parsley
  • Cracked black pepper


  • Take a big bowl and add 3 cups of cooked and diced chicken,1 package of dry onion soup, 1 can  of mushroom soup, 1 can of cream of chicken soup, 2¼ cups of milk, ¾ cup of sour cream, ½ cup of  Water, 2 cups of minute uncooked rice, ¼ teaspoon of salt and ½ teaspoon of pepper.
  • Take a 9×13 casserole baking dish and pour the above mixture on it.
  • Now cover the dish with foil paper.
  • Bake at the temperature of 350°F for 45 minutes.
  • Take out the dish and remove the foil paper.
  • Bake for 10 minutes.
  • When it turns golden brown, turn off the microwave oven and you’re tasty and mouth-watering Chicken and Rice Casserole is ready to enjoy. Serve it to your family. They will surely enjoy it.
